Meet M.A.R. Renovation & Repair

My name is Mark and since 2005 I have been providing dependable renovation and repair services right here in Ottawa—everything from minor household fixes to major transformations like bathrooms, basements, and decks. Proudly, the vast majority of my business comes from repeat customers and word-of-mouth referrals.

My original training is in Architectural Technology. After college, I worked for an architect and a local Ottawa condo developer on custom homes, commercial plazas, and apartment buildings. Through that experience, I developed a strong foundation in design, construction drawings, building codes, and permits.

In 2005, I returned to my family contracting roots to launch my own business. Over the years, I’ve combined my formal architectural background with hands-on trade skills, allowing me to guide my clients seamlessly from concept to completion.

How I Work

While I operate as an independent contractor and sometimes work solo, most of the time you’ll see me working alongside my good friend and colleague, Rob Stevenson of Rob’s Renos & Repairs.

Rob and I met in 1999 in the architectural program at Algonquin College and have shared a close friendship and parallel careers ever since. Like me, he comes from a family with deep roots in the industry and brings extensive, hands-on experience in construction, renovations, and home maintenance. We tackle most of our projects together as a reliable two-person team. For specialized tasks, I also bring in trusted, expert subcontractors on a project-by-project basis.
