I am a hands-on renovation contractor with an architectural technology background and extensive experience in the Ottawa renovation and construction industry. This allows me to offer a wide range of services—from small home repairs to larger renovations—for houses, townhouses, apartments, and occasional commercial properties. Most work is interior finishing, alongside some exterior projects during warmer months.

Most of my projects take from one to 15 business days. I take on small tasks on a case-by-case basis as filler between larger jobs. Most of the time I work as part of a 2-person team, so generally I avoid extremely large projects, though I occasionally take them on with the help of other trades.

SPECIALIZING IN Bathroom Remodels:

Bathroom renovations are my main specialty, so if you're looking to update a small to medium sized bathroom or powder room, I work directly with customers and guide them through the process, including helping with material selections.

The way I typically work is straightforward: the customer provides the major items like the tub, tiles, vanity, and toilet, and I supply all the other materials needed and handle the complete installation. I can supply everything if the customer chooses to, but usually it’s more efficient to let the customer shop for their own finishes and major pieces.

OTHER CORE SERVICES:

Interior Paint Jobs: Paint services from 1 room to entire homes

Basements: Finishing basements with new framing, insulation, drywall, trim, painting, etc. (Project size: 1 to 3 rooms)

Room Remodels: New flooring, trim, painting, closet organisers, closet doors, etc. (Project size: 1 to 3 rooms)

SMALL REPAIRS & TASKS:

As a secondary service from the core services above, I often put a day or so aside for customers to tackle their home to-do lists, doing all kinds of small household repairs and small tasks. I do this as filler between my larger core services. If I have time in my schedule I can occasionally fit in small one item repairs, but it’s usually more efficient to wait until you have a few items saved up.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES:

While I try to concentrate mainly on the services mentioned above, I do take on other projects on a case-by-case basis. Some of those services include small kitchen renovations, laundry room remodels, small decks and porches, tile backsplashes, fireplace surrounds, flooring projects, trim and baseboard installs, wood fences, and much more.

Design Consultations: While I have an architectural technology background and former BCIN, I no longer practice as a technologist. I offer practical renovation advice, but I do not provide full design, drafting, or permit services, nor am I a design-build firm. For extensive plans or permits, please contact an architect, designer, or design-build firm instead.

Emergency Services: I do not offer emergency repair services or offer plumbing and electrical repairs services. While I can diagnose plumbing or electrical problems, please call a dedicated plumber or electrician for standalone, urgent issues.

Owner-Builders & Half-Finished Projects: As a rule of thumb, I do not take on jobs where homeowners act as their own general contractor coordinating multiple trades while I am on-site. I also avoid taking over projects that a homeowner or another contractor has already started due to liability and quality concerns.
